i made bubur jagung a month ago to clear up my fridge. there was still 3 corns and instant coconut milk in my keeping..so bubur jagung it will be!!as our hotel plants pandan i always would smuggle a few leaves from the pond nearby to give this bubur a more flavourable and aromatic smell.
1) a few sweet corns (i prefer using the real sweet corn rather than tinned ones)
2) 1 box of coconut milk (200ml)
3) 1/2 packet of sagu
4) sugar
5) condense milk (optional)
6) pandan leaves
7) 1liter water (or more depend on how much corn u have)
1st of all grate the sweet corn and put it inside a pot with water. boil it until its soft. dont forget to put the pandan leaves inside too. add the coconut milk with sugar and sagu. leave it to cook. but remember always stir the bubur or u'll get a 'hangit' bubur hehe..put a little bit of condense milk if u like before serving. after that..eat!!!
"Marriage is a partnership of two unique people who bring out the very best in each other & who know that even though they are wonderful as individuals... THEY ARE EVEN BETTER TOGETHER. -Barbara Cage"
It’s been 1month Adli and I married. Actually till now, especially waking up in the morning seems weird thinking that i've been married..Macam tak percaya la jugak..Not the weird which is uncomfortable, but a feeling of surprises and i kept thinking to my self, am i really married..hehe because, you still are the same person haha..i used to think that when u get married, u'll turn into a different person. Not true!! I am still the same person but with a new status..haha Mrs Adli.
The first week of marriage was really tiring!! Everyday we would go around to our relatives, include with breakfast, brunch, lunch, hi tea, dinner and some even serves us supper! My stomach was about to explode if this kept on. But the exciting part is you'll get presents every time you visit a relative. Actually our presents back at my house are still as tall as the wall. We didn't had time to open up as everyday we came back late and exhausted. Balik je tido..Penat! Being a newly weds are really tiring..Well like they all say, everybody will experience merely like the same. But what i like best about this is, we get to feel the warm love of our relatives, celebrating us as a part of the family. New family member..hehe It keeps extending from year to year. After a week of marriage, Adli brought me back with him to Labuan. Two and a half hours was really boring..Arghh!!! But when I saw how welcoming was the hotel's environment, my tiredness went away. It was not like home. I did felt like as we were on our honeymoon. Just the two of us with a spacious room. There was a small kitchenette just cute enough for me to cook, a living area, a balcony, a bathroom and bedroom of course..hehe where else for us to sleep. ahaks! As we didnt had time to go on a honeymoon trip, this was more and enough for me. Never had i imagine to live in hotel. Well there are always pro and cons living here. The best thing is i dont have to clean up as housekeeping is provided hehe but i do have to make sure everything is well manner and provided before my hubby comes back home. I dont have to do heavy laundry also as the company even pays for our laundry. Dont worry i wont be a brad as i still wash the dishes and do the cooking. Thats my territory hahaha..But i sometimes asked the cleaners to scrub the stove once a while. I cook everyday cause my hubby likes home cooking. Luckily i knew how to cook and the recipes from the internet really help me a lot especially when i forgot how to make something which i dont normally cook. I check on ingredients and tips on how to cook better.
I am really greatfull with my new life. A loving husband with his extraordinary family really made me honoured and blessed. I really thank Allah and my family and friends for this. I pray for all my families and beloved friends, whom not married yet to be blessed and loved as i am feeling now. To be loved by loving person and someone which we can spend our life together till the day we die.

Sahabat Alam Malaysia (2001). Malaysia Environment Alert 2001. Sahabat Alam Malaysia. Pulau Pinang
Reviewer: Nur Hannan bt Mohd Shukri, G0711356, Department of Landscape Architecture, Kuliyyah Of Architecture & Environmental Design, International Islamic University.
Sahabat Alam Malaysia (2001) reported that Malaysia environment is in an unhealthy state due to the mismanagement of natural resources within the country environmental corridors. Physical damage becomes an even more problematic issue when ecological considerations are not part of the planning process. They also reported that Malaysia has now being exposed to the risk of global warming effects, flash floods, water and air pollution, haze, greenhouse effect as well as water storage and this phenomenon can already be seen in the Kuala Lumpur itself.
The report stated that unless disaster strikes, Malaysia development progress are usually without sober reflection. No integration between environment implications with the economic development will cause an exhaust of natural basis the report added. The report also stated that effective sustainable polices towards sustainable living could minimize implications to the environment as well as holistic and scientific understanding of the function of ecosystem and its impacts of human interaction with the nature needs to be incorporated.
In chapter one, the book discusses about forest as it plays a vital role in conservation of soil, water, plant and animal life. It discusses both the quality and the quantity factors of this critical habitat which includes the land use trends faced in the country, types of natural forest; lowland and hill dipterocarp, freshwater and peat swamp, mangroves and montane forest, sustainable forest management and timber certification. It states that a holistic and dynamic approach is needed in order to multitude environmental problems related with forest management. This will satisfy the whole range of complementary uses to meet traditional forest product needs, preserve plants and wildlife, recreational and research opportunities and regenerate wastelands and degraded forest.
In chapter two it describe on the topic of biodiversity and the protection of the nation’s flora and fauna. This chapter tells us the how effective is the protected area system in order to ensure the flora and fauna survival through its sub topics of biological diversity, protected areas, endangered and endemic species and Bioprospecting. If more attention is been focus on the network of protected areas, the ecological integrity can be preserve.
The next two chapters; chapter three (freshwater) and chapter four (marine and coastal), deals with other natural resources which are also critical habitats. Chapter three discusses on the water resources, its demands, quality level in rivers, wetlands and water catchments and its management. While chapter four is about marine fisheries, coastal shorelines and mangrove, corals and seagrasses, marine mammals and turtles, marine and costal pollutions, coastal erosion and marine park management. The main problem of these water resources is compounded by the lack of overall planning and management system in Malaysia.
As environment does not only concern the wilderness, so in chapter five, it takes a look at urban conditions and the accumulation of modern waste. It also discusses on air pollution, industrialization and hazardous wastes as well as transportation issues in the urban metropolitan. It stated that this matter occurred as a result of lack completed urban Master Plans, together with problems associated with privatized management.
The last two chapters; chapter five and six, talk about environment laws and awareness as well as the environmental justice and the impact of international agreements. It also reviewed to gauge the ability of changing people attitudes and actions towards the environment as determine how to tackle the problems of environmental exploitation, pollution and depletion.
In sum, the reports tells that nature have limits that should maintain within a healthy environment as well as sustaining the resources needed for better quality of life and local economy. They strived that without effective implementation and enforcement from the government, this policy will not be inspired towards the quality of life. It also stated that the development and planning must be compatible with the long term economic growth in order to maintain natural resources, not neglecting new scarcities as well as prevent degradation of environmental quality. More attention is needed towards protected area which focused on network preservation that will integrate the quality of the ecology system.
Overall, this organization should be praised as in this book they have provide current situation and reports on the country’s quality of environment and conservation records. This book is helpful and should not be missed by those who are interested in understanding the implications of testing Nature’s limits and be committed in protecting our environment sustainability for the future generation. This book successfully describes an overview of the country’s ecological conditions and quality of life concerns.
